Ostinato is a musical roguelike deckbuilder. You play a caster in a tournament where every duel is fought in song. Your cards are notes. It is turn-based. It comes to Steam for Windows and Linux on 26 March 2027.
From a hand of seven notes, you lay up to five on a stave and play them as a phrase. The champion shows his phrase first. A note on one of his pitches silences his note and weakens his next blow. Your phrase scores by the figure it makes, as in a poker hand. Chords and runs hit harder. A run has four tournaments, each a branching road of duels that ends on a champion who changes one rule.
